Emergency aid supplies and medical services were provided to 350 earthquake victims. On June 1st, 2023 (Children's Day), in poor and war-torn countries, very few children have heard of Children's Day, let alone received gifts on this day. In Afghanistan, many children have been deprived of the most basic necessities of life. Owning a new pair of shoes is the dream of many poor children in Afghanistan. Taking advantage of the "June 1st Children's Day" opportunity, new shoes were sent to 648 impoverished children in Kabul, Bamyan and Ghazni provinces of Afghanistan.
Cataract surgery is a very simple and relatively inexpensive procedure. However, in many poor countries, many families are unable to afford the cost of this surgery due to economic issues and are forced to continue living in relative darkness. To address this issue, the BeiJing Tongxinlian Charity Foundation designed the "Bright Path Project", collaborating with the EICO Eye Care Organization, and coordinating with the Afghan Ministry of Public Health to provide eye cataract surgery services to 1,000 families in five provinces in Afghanistan (Maidan, Wardak, Konar, Khost, Sarepol, and Bamyan). This enables those impoverished families who cannot afford cataract surgery to have the opportunity for treatment and gives them the chance to lead a better life.
